Stephan Lacerte Hybrid drummer and music producer

About Stephan

Stephan Lacerte is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, composer and music producer, and the founder of ADN Studio.

His musical journey began at a young age at the Conservatory of Music in the early 1980s, where he quickly stood out for his ability to perform complex pieces on multiple instruments.

Known for his natural curiosity and wide-ranging interests, Stephan has always approached music as both an art and a craft, blending creativity with a deep fascination for sound, technology and storytelling.

Over the years, he has performed more than 1,700 live shows as a singer-guitarist, while also working extensively as a drummer and multi-instrumentalist. His career has taken him around the world, including performing internationally as a musician aboard the legendary ocean liner Queen Mary 2.

Beyond performance, Stéphan has always been passionate about audio production, composition and the creative possibilities of modern technology. ADN Studio was created as a space where these passions come together — a place dedicated to producing original music designed to support storytelling, film, video and creative media.

Through ADN Studio, he shares a growing library of original production music made freely available under Creative Commons licensing, allowing creators to use the music in their projects while supporting a spirit of open creativity and collaboration.

When he is not composing or exploring new musical ideas, Stéphan enjoys learning about science, cinema, history and technology — and most importantly, spending time with his family.
